Boz Bunch
Hello!
Thank you for visiting our team's walkALS Georgia fundraising page. We are looking forward to walking united for a cure on Walk Day and hope you will join us. If you want to walk with us – or support a team member who is walking – you are in the right place!
The Boz Bunch is walking in honor of our dad, Stanley "Craig" Bozaich.
Craig has always been someone who worked hard, stayed active, and put his family first. He is a husband, dad, PawPaw, and lifelong sports fan who loves the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. For most of his life, sitting still was never really his thing.
His health journey has been a complicated one. After several years of progressive weakness and earlier diagnoses of Guillain-Barré syndrome and then CIDP, Craig was diagnosed with ALS in 2025. In a relatively short period of time, ALS significantly affected his strength, speech, swallowing, and breathing.
More recently, Craig required an emergency appendectomy followed by placement of a drain in his gallbladder. His condition progressed to the point that he required intubation and an extended stay in the ICU. After 10 days on the ventilator, our family made the difficult decision to proceed with extubation.
Not knowing exactly what to expect afterward, Craig surprised all of us with his resilience and strength. He was transferred to hospice care in Conyers, where our family was able to spend his final days surrounding him with love and support.
On September 6, 2026, Craig passed away surrounded by his family.
Through all of this, our family saw firsthand just how devastating ALS can be, not only for the person diagnosed, but for everyone who loves and cares for them.
The Boz Bunch now walks in Craig's memory. We walk to honor the husband, dad, grandfather, and friend that he was, to support other families facing this disease, and to help fund the research and resources needed to change what an ALS diagnosis means in the future.
Every step is for Dad.
