Welcome to My Personal Page
Why I Walk
My name is Amy, and I am participating in the ALS Walk not only as a supporter, but as someone personally living with this disease. ALS progressively impacts strength, independence, and essential daily functions, ultimately affecting mobility, speech, and breathing. At this time, there is no cure.
While this is not a path I would have chosen, I am committed to how I face it. My participation is deeply personal—I walk for my own journey, for the challenges that often go unseen, and for the moments when even simple tasks become difficult. I also walk in support of others living with ALS, those who continue to fight each day, the families and caregivers who provide unwavering support, and in memory of those we have lost.
ALS presents significant physical and emotional challenges, but it does not define my purpose or diminish hope. Contributions to this cause directly support critical research, patient care, and advocacy efforts aimed at finding a cure. I am grateful for the support and for everyone who joins me in this mission.
