Welcome to My Personal Page
When someone you love gets diagnosed with ALS, the first thing you ask is what can I do to help? For many people like me, the answer is to participate in walkALS Georgia, which raises awareness and money to support Georgians living with ALS.
The Boz Bunch is walking in honor of our dad, Stanley “Craig” Bozaich.
Craig has always been someone who worked hard, stayed active, and put his family first. He is a husband, dad, PawPaw, and lifelong sports fan who loves the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. For most of his life, sitting still was never really his thing.
His health journey has been a complicated one. After several years of progressive weakness and earlier diagnoses of Guillain-Barré syndrome and then CIDP, Craig was diagnosed with ALS in 2025. In a relatively short period of time, ALS significantly affected his strength, speech, swallowing, and breathing.
More recently, Craig required an emergency appendectomy followed by placement of a drain in his gallbladder. His condition progressed to the point that he required intubation and an extended stay in the ICU. After 10 days on the ventilator, our family made the difficult decision to proceed with extubation.
Not knowing exactly what to expect afterward, Craig surprised all of us with his resilience and strength. He has since been transferred to hospice care in Conyers, where family continues to visit and spend time with him every day. While we know our time with him may be limited, we continue to surround him with love and support and make the most of the time we have together.
Through all of this, our family has seen firsthand just how devastating ALS can be, not only for the person diagnosed, but for everyone who loves and cares for them.
We created the Boz Bunch to walk for Craig, support other families facing this disease, and help fund the research and resources needed to change what an ALS diagnosis means in the future.
Every step is for Dad.
