Last year, I joined the ALS United family to help raise awareness and funds for those, like my dear friend Laurie, who have been affected by ALS. Watching someone you care about face a diagnosis like this changes your perspective. It makes you realize just how important research, support, and awareness truly are.

That’s why I’m proud to be walking again this year with Laurie’s Tribe of Twisted Neurons at Walk ALS Georgia. Every step we take is in honor of Laurie and every individual and family facing ALS.

ALS is a progressive disease that gradually takes away a person’s ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. While researchers have made important progress, there is still no cure.

By supporting my walk, you’re helping provide resources and support for individuals and families living with ALS right here in Georgia, while also funding research that brings us closer to better treatments—and one day, a cure.
