David vs. Goliath: A $25K Fight for 25 Years of Hope
There’s a moment after a diagnosis like ALS where everything shifts—and the questions start coming faster than the answers.
Since my diagnosis in October 2024, I’ve been learning what this fight really looks like. ALS is a progressive disease that slowly takes away the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and eventually breathe. There is still no cure. It’s a reality that feels, at times, like standing face-to-face with something impossibly large.
A true Goliath.
But here’s what I’ve come to believe: Goliath isn’t unbeatable—it just requires more Davids.
Last year, I joined the Walk ALS Georgia for the first time, and it was one of the most powerful, inspiring experiences of my life. Seeing so many people come together—fighting, supporting, showing up—changed the way I think about this journey. It reminded me that none of us stands alone in this.
This year is even more meaningful. It’s my second walk, and it marks the 25th anniversary of this incredible event. So I’m setting a goal that matches the moment: $25,000 to honor 25 years of walking, supporting families, and pushing toward a cure.
It’s a big goal. I know that.
But big fights call for bold faith—and a community willing to step forward.
I’m walking (or riding on my scooter, as it were) so that one day, hearing “You have ALS” won’t come with a timeline.
I’m walking so that people facing this today feel supported, seen, and never alone.
I’m walking because hope is something we build together.
If you’ve ever wondered how you can help, this is it.
Will you join me for this year’s Walk ALS Georgia? You can walk alongside me, donate, or simply share this page. Every action matters. Every step counts.
Let’s take on Goliath—together.
