I am Palmer Proctor, and the Leader of Pace against ALS. I was first exposed to ALS when my grandpa found out he was diagnosed with this disease. Having personally witnessed the ways in which ALS disrupted his ability to walk, talk, and eventually breathe. I began to realize how dangerous and impactful this disease can be on someone's life. I will not just be walking for my grandpa, but I am walking so that Georgians living with ALS today know that they are not alone. I'm walking to ensure that when they need help, they can get it from ALS United of Georgia. I am walking to give them hope.
