Remembering Randy: Sting Like a Lee!
This is our 10th year walking in memory of my Uncle Randy, who fought ALS for 12 years. It was heartbreaking watching this disease rob him of his ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe until it eventually took his life. ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
That's why I'm walking. To change the statistics. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To advance research for treatment and a cure.
The past few years have brought great advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life for people with ALS and their families.
As always, we value your support. We would love to have you walk with our Remembering Randy tesam on September 20. And no gift is too small to have a positive impact on patient care, family support, and research for a cure! With your help, we are making a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
