It's summer and that means it's time to get ready to Walk ALS Georgia! Please consider helping us this year on the Walk for ALS because YOU make a difference! You and Team Lew have been helping to support research, patients, and families for more than a decade and raised a staggering $80,000 in the process! But the fight is not done. Check out my personal page for details about why I walk year after year. No donation to small! Thank you for your support!

Doing it *for the love of Lew*

When someone you love gets diagnosed with ALS, the first thing you think is, “this cannot be.” Then there is grief. Then the thought of “what can I do to help?” For me, I do the walk and fundraise because it is a promise I made to my father many years ago - that I would keep fighting to find answers, a treatment, a cure! It is why each year I participate in Walk ALS Georgia, which raises awareness and money to fund research efforts and support Georgians living with ALS.

Did you know that TEAM LEW has raised over $80,000 since we started fundraising over a decade ago? YOU have been part of that and I am abundantly grateful!

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neuromuscular disease that slowly robs a person of the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. It can strike anyone and, although there has been a lot of advancements in ALS research, we still don’t know what causes it. An ALS diagnosis is fatal because there is no cure.

Why am I walking? I am keeping my word. I made a promise to my father over a decade ago that I would keep up the good fight against ALS until we made strives to a cure. I am walking to change the statistics, to bring help and hope to those living with the disease, and fight for a cure!

The past few years have brought incredible advancements in ALS research, expanded access to care for people living with ALS, and enabled legislation that impacts the quality of life of people with ALS and their families.

The Ice Bucket Challenge was an incredible success but we can't stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.

Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease. All donations are appreciated!

Thank you for your support!
